| This hilarious
video blog by Brooke Marks imagines a scenario where Christopher Walken "Googles" his own name for the first time, and is elated
to find out that he is running for President! "I don't
understand politics," Walken tells Brooke, "But as your
President, I'm willing to learn." Walken admits being in
awe of the size of Brooke's friend-count on Myspace, and
eventually asks her to be his running mate since he figures
he'll "need
someone with a lot of friends." If you've never seen the
fake campaign website touting Christopher Walken for President,
do yourself a favor and "Google it" yourself sometime.
Originally spawned by a thread in the forum known as "General
Mayhem", the hoax website made the leap into internet folklore
when the Associated Press briefly reported Walken's candidacy as
"fact." Of course it was nothing of the sort, but that
didn't stop thousands of blogs and humor websites from linking
to the bogus Walken website and widening the circle of those not
in on the joke. If there's one downside to this video blog, it's
that the Walken intro holds off Brooke's appearance for over a
minute, but once she's on screen it's well
worth the wait. Brooke channels her inner-Dick Cheney, and
spends the majority of the blog going through a check-list of how
she can make herself more Vice-Presidential. The highlights of
which are a Duck Hunt-inspired sequence in which she shoots a friend
in the face, as well as a one-on-one showdown between Brooke and
Senator Patrick Leahy. |
